Saudi Arabia to reopen Makkah mosques from Sunday

Saudi Arabia’s holy city of Makkah is set to reopen 1,560 mosques on Sunday under strict safety measures, nearly three months after they were closed to prevent the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.

The country recorded 4,301 new Covid-19 cases on Friday, with 45 deaths and 1,849 recoveries.

The precautionary measures like wearing a face mask and own musalla might me mandatory to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The list of measures will be announced by the authorities before reopening of masjids in the country.
